Zero Compromise on Quality

Every batch tested. Every roll inspected. Before it leaves our floor.

Quality Is Not a Department — It's a Standard

Built Into Every Stage of Production

At HiFashions, quality control is not a final gate — it is woven into the production process from the first bale of yarn to the last roll packed for dispatch. Our approach is rooted in three decades of manufacturing experience: we have seen what goes wrong when corners are cut, and we have built our systems to prevent it at every step.

Our in-house testing lab operates independently of the production floor, running objective checks on GSM, colour fastness, shrinkage, pilling, and tensile strength before any batch is approved for shipment. When a parameter falls outside tolerance, the batch is reworked — not rationalised. That uncompromising standard is why 400+ brands continue to trust HiFashions season after season.

Quality Control Process

1

Raw Material Inspection

Every batch of yarn and chemical is tested upon receipt to verify specifications and consistency.

2

In-Process Checks

Continuous monitoring during knitting and dyeing operations to catch and correct any deviations.

3

Lab Testing

Comprehensive testing in our in-house lab including tensile strength, color fastness, and shrinkage analysis.

4

Final Inspection

Visual inspection and verification against buyer specifications before packaging and shipment.

Testing Parameters

Parameter Test Method Standard
GSM Weight Fabric weight test Per buyer specification
Color Fastness Wash/light/rubbing tests Grade 4-5
Shrinkage Dimensional stability Within 3-5%
Pilling Resistance Martindale method Grade 3-4
Tensile Strength Strip/grab method Per fabric type
Spirality Wash test Within 3-5%

In-House Testing Lab

GSM & Weight Verification

Every production batch is weighed against buyer specifications before approval. Our GSM testing equipment catches weight drift early — before an entire run is compromised — ensuring the fabric you receive matches what was ordered, gram for gram.

🎨

Colour Fastness Testing

We test wash fastness, light fastness, and dry/wet rubbing resistance on every dyed batch. Our target is Grade 4–5 on all parameters — the standard demanded by export-grade garment manufacturers and brand buyers who cannot afford colour bleed in production.

Physical Performance Tests

Tensile strength, elongation, pilling resistance (Martindale), spirality, and shrinkage are evaluated on representative samples from each lot. Fabrics that fall outside tolerance are held for rework — they do not ship.

Quality at Every Stage

Yarn Intake Inspection

Every incoming yarn lot is verified for count accuracy, tensile strength, colour consistency, and surface impurities before it is released to the knitting floor. Substandard yarn is rejected at source — never worked into production.

In-Process Knitting Checks

Machine operators monitor fabric as it is produced — checking for dropped stitches, tight spots, gauge deviation, and course density. Defective sections are removed before the fabric reaches the dyeing stage.

Dyeing Precision Control

Liquor ratio, temperature curves, and dwell times are logged for every dye cycle. Our colour lab matches each batch to the original shade card before it is approved — shade variation between lots is actively managed, not accepted.

Final Roll Inspection

Finished fabric is inspected roll by roll before packing — checking for uneven dyeing, dimensional irregularities, and surface defects. Only rolls that pass this final review are labelled, logged, and dispatched.
